Chiesa di S. Maria in Vallicella
(o Chiesa Nuova) -Roma-

	Questa chiesa in stile seicentesco è attribuita agli architetti G. Matteo da Città e Martino Longhi il vecchio, venne completata verso il 1583. Fu costruita per volere del cardinale Pierdonato Cesi con fondi del papa Gregorio XIII. L'interno (fig. 2) è un eccellente esempio del Barocco Romano.
S. Filippo Neri è sepolto sotto l'altare nella cappella a lui dedicata. This church in the 1600's style is attributed to the architect G. Matteo da Citta' and to Martino Longhi the Elder, who finished it around 1583. It was built at the expense of cardinal Pierdonato Cesi
	with the financial collaboration of Pope Gregorius XIII. The inside (img.2) is an excellent example of the early Roman Baroque. S. Filippo Neri is buried under the altar in the chapel dedicated to him.
